While I enjoyed the romance between Frost and Luca, Frostflre wasn’t as invested in it as I would have liked and found myself wondering about Arian instead. Her books are worth picking up if you haven’t read her already and if you have, there’s no debate about whether or not to read FrostFireand don’t worry if you haven’t read Daughter of Flames as this is a companion novel, not a sequel. ze

Having such an interesting main character makes a hell of a difference.
Basically the blurb sounds great but the book is so much more zos that and you need to read it. Betrayal on a fundamental level, betrayal by someone that you love. I eagerly awaited this book for a very long time, and it did not disappoint me even a little bit. But if you love each other enough, then there frostfiree always be a way to work things ze. His connection to Frost felt stronger to me, than Luca’s. How, in the middle of a war, bad guys and good guys sometimes merge into the same thing, how it feels to love someone who is utterly beyond your reach.

It tips the book slightly into confusion, a few times I found myself skipping back to see what had previously happened in each section, but it mirrors Frost’s own confusion at her situation and anxiety about the Wolf and therefore provides readers with a great insight into her feelings.

She becomes such a strong character as the book progresses, you find yourself cheering her on from the sidelines. Any readers desperate for a heroine who stands up for herself and fights along with the men will mafriott Frost; likewise anyone who wants to read about a hero who doesn’t try to shield his girl from all the world’s evil, but trains her to fight and use the many skills she has already acquired, will love Luca, and perhaps Arian too.
